On the first day, I woke up feeling sad; I recorded those feelings in my journal and went on with my day. When it came time to record how I felt in the afternoon, I felt the same as in the morning. My day went on, and I was able to distract myself, preoccupying my mind with the positive things around me allowed me to focus on the good that could come from my situation. By the time of my last recording, I felt a lot better. Before getting into bed, I took out my journal to reflect and record my three gratitudes for the day; when reflecting, I was able to find gratitude for my situation and be assured that not everything coming from this is bad. I was also able to appreciate the amazing people I have around me and end my day on a positive note.
